SET-UP SCREEN

  1. Feature - Boost Cutoff based on Ram Position, Peak Hydraulic Pressure, or Cavity Pressure.
    Benefit – This provides automatic and precise control suited to users needs, even when melt conditions change and prevents flash when mold filling requires excessive pressure.

  2. FeatureInjection Profile Control with digital interpolation of the injection velocity profile.
    Benefit – Points are automatically calculated for precise, accurate speed control every cycle.

  3. FeatureAutomatic Shot Correction compensates for variations in melt density due to lot-to-lot fluctuations of the raw material or changes in virgin to regrind ratio.
    Benefit – The program uses the injection molding machine as a rheometer to automatically determine the amount of material to be plasticated to ensure consistent part packing, precise dimensional stability and uniform weight control.

  4. FeatureAutomatic Injection Profile provides automatic calculation of the injection velocity profile by using an Expert program that computes the profile setpoints from empirical data gained from successful setups.
    Benefit – The program is designed to optimize the machine cycle time and prevent flashing of the mold. This feature is especially useful in expediting the setup of a new tool. It can also be modified to “fine tune" a given setup for an existing job.

  5. FeatureBoost Pump Delay is used to defer the transition from high volume flow to low flow, allowing greater flow for packing pressure.
    Benefit – Controlled packing pressure transition eliminates ram bounce and assures correct part packing. This feature is particularly beneficial to eliminating short shots for those making large parts and/or using multiple cavitation tools.

  6. FeatureFloppy Disk Drive for data storage.
    Benefit – Non-networked users can save job setups for future use, along with SPC data for process diagnostics.

  7. FeatureSerial User Access Port enables the connection to a variety of gauges, gauge fixtures, weigh scales, bar code readers, laptop or other personal computers, etc.
    Benefit - Easy access to correlate part characteristics with process data. Includes plug & play compatibility with our Data and Bar Code Division's time & attendance product line for a complete data management solution.

  8. FeatureDecompression Control before or after plasticate based on ram position.
    Benefit – Position based decompression prevents “drool” and cold slugs, causing very precise material “suck-back” control. This results in substantial defect reduction and cycle repeatability improvement.

  9. Feature - Industrial Touch Screen is both durable and easy to use for selecting control setup, production, or diagnostic displays.
    Benefit - Easy one screen job setup with saved download capability decreases downtime during tool change.

    Feature - On Board Process Diagnostics and Help screens.
    Benefit - Production, Process Help, and a number of process diagnostic screens allow the user to "fine tune" the process for long term repeatability. Process Help offers SPI solutions to eliminate specific product defects.
