The Commercial IT Division of Applied Sciences and Information Services, Inc. has been acquired by Alpha Systems, a subsidiary of Hunkar Technologies, Inc.
Today January 3, 2013, Hunkar Technologies’ announced that its Alpha Systems business unit, located in Midlothian, Virginia, has acquired the Commercial IT Management Division of Applied Sciences and Information Services, Inc. in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Mr. David Mapstone will continue as the Commercial Division’s Operations Manager and will now report to Mr. Robert Cook President and General Manager of Alpha Systems. All other employees in the Asis Commercial Division have also joined the Alpha Systems team. The new Business unit will become the Data Services Division of Alpha Systems and will remain at its present facilities and will continue with the same contact phone numbers as the Business currently uses.

Gateway Precision Technologies acquired by Hunkar Packaging Inc.

Today, Hunkar Packaging Inc., (“Hunkar”) a subsidiary of Hunkar Technologies, Inc., announced that it has acquired certain assets of Gateway Precision Technologies (“Gateway”) based in Holland, Michigan.
Gateway is a premier supplier of computer controlled standard and special foam processing equipment and systems. Gateway also is an industry leader in a great many other custom manufacturing equipment environments that utilize Gateway’s comprehensive engineering capabilities, complete machine control building refurbishment and repair capabilities, top flight field and installation support and full inventory of production consumables and wear parts.

Alpha Systems announces the acquisition of Point of Activity, Inc.

Midlothian, Virginia - Today, Hunkar Data and Barcode, Inc., a subsidiary of Hunkar Technologies, Inc., announced that its Alpha Systems barcode division acquired certain assets of Point of Activity, Inc. based in Richmond, Virginia. The acquisition was an asset purchase transaction.
Point of Activity, Inc. was founded in 1990 and is a premier value added reseller of bar code equipment, labels, mobile and stationary inventory and asset tracking systems, programming and repair support services. Mr. Robert H. Charlotte, North Carolina – Today, A3 Technologies, Inc. announced that certain of its intangible assets have been acquired by Hunkar Data & Bar Code Systems, a subsidiary of Hunkar Technologies, Inc. The transaction was an asset purchase.
A3 Technologies President, Mr. Steve Allen will be assisting with the transition and continue to provide support to A3 Technologies’ customers on an ongoing basis. Today, Hunkar Packaging, Inc. (A Hunkar Technologies Company) announced that it has entered into an exciting new sales partnership with Norwood Marking Systems. This expanded relationship will now permit Hunkar to sell Norwood Products, including the popular AK-7 hot stamp printer, to Hunkar Dealers at prices well below the discounts most Dealers currently enjoy.
The Hunkar/Norwood partnership is expected to allow most Hunkar Dealers who sell Norwood products to earn an additional 5-10% profit simply by purchasing Norwood products directly from Hunkar. The arrangement also contemplates spare parts and repair services.

Hunkar Laboratories and it's sister company Hunkar Packaging, Inc. are joining forces and will occupy a new 45,000 square foot plant located just over the river from downtown Cincinnati, in Covington, Kentucky, near interstate 75. The plant is specifically designed to better support manufacture of the 311 Series 2 parison programmer, multiple customer unit testing and complete system run-offs as well as introduce new in house capabilities to the manufacturing operation including laser cutting, automated punching and painting to decrease lead times and further improve quality assurance.
